Estimated Southeast Woodland Indians Population Chart (1600-1761)

This week I did a video lecture on Part #4 of the Southeast woodland Indians (Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, etc.) series on Youtube.  I wanted to share with you an early population chart of the indigenous American Aborigines (Southeast Woodland Indians) during the early 1600s to the late 1700s.   Keep in mind these are rough estimates and are not exact, and this was also during the times when negro Indians were being kidnaped or captured and forced into slavery.  This chart is from the American Indian Almanac. Check out the Kimberly Purpoz Channel.

The chart is from the American Indian Almanac by  John Upton Terrell.

Let’s face it, everyone gets angry at some point in their life. Anger is a natural emotion that occurs in certain situations. This particular emotion can have both positive and negative effects. An example of positive anger is when you get upset about failing an exam that you study harder to pass the second time around. The negative example of anger is getting into fights and injuring others.

During ancient times, anger was used as a form of survival. For instance, the hunter and gatherer during ancient times had to hunt for their food and often times fight to keep their food for their family and their tribe/clan. This is an example of survival and was instinctual and innate. However, we live in a modern world in which it has become more complex when it comes to the emotion of anger. There are certain times and places in which anger has to be managed and modified to fit and blend into normal society.

What are Chakras and Chakra Therapy?

Chakra Definition

According to Yogapedia.com:

Chakra

Definition - What does Chakra mean?

Chakra comes from the Sanskrit, chakra, which means "wheel." According to yoga traditions, a chakra is one of seven points in the human body, each responsible for a specific "spoke" of physiological function and emotional experience. Yoga and meditation are a means of keeping all of the body’s chakras unrestricted and open to the circulation of spiritual energy essential for health and emotional well-being.  https://www.yogapedia.com/definition/4964/chakra

Dawes Commission

A good source to get more information about what happened to the American Aborigine tribes and Dawes Commission especially in the southeastern parts of North America is "The Dawes Commission and the Allotment of the Five Civilized Tribes, 1893-1914", by Kent Carter.  I found this to be a  great read.  Below is a pic showing the Cherokee and negro Indians.  They also had a pic of the full-blooded Choctaw Indians but the picture was blurred.  The pictures were pretty blurry and from a far distance but we know why this was done, to further try to hide and erase the truth perhaps.
